Bacolod Blades

Negros Occidental is famous making some of the finest Filipino bladed weapon such as the Talibong and Kerambit which is a staple for DTS practitioners. Here is a short photo essay on Ilonggo blade making. If you are interested in purchasing, please email me at genfil@gmail.com.

Self-defense Class by International Trainor in Los Baños

There is growing number crime in Los Baños particularly knife stabbing and citizens are looking for way in which they can protect themselves. In reponse, Upper Limits Gym in Los Baños offers summer classes on self-defense and anti-rape. Teaching the class is International Trainor and Martial Arts Expert, GM Jerson Tortal Jr. GM Jerson is the Grandmaster of the Dekiti Tirsia Siradas System, an Filipino indigenous fighting art with a  rich history of combat that span more than a hundred years and is taught to various military and law enforcement such the FBI, Spetnaz and SWAT just to name a few. In particular, GM Jerson specialty is self defense against knife and stick.

DTS Joins Laguna Sports Program

A Dekiti Tirsia Siradas (DTS ) delegation lead by Grandmaster Jerson Tortal Jr. went to the Capitolyo of the province of Laguna, Philippines to be affiliated members of the Laguna Sports Development Council last Monday, March 12 2012.

Mr. Albert A Abarquez, Head of the the Provincial Sports and Games thru Arnis Coach Mr. Sherwin Calatin invited DTS to be part of the council as representative of the Arnis Sector.

GM Jerson Tortal Jr. and members of DTS gave a demonstration that trilled the audience. This impress Governor Jeorge “ER” Ejercito Estregan and express his support the programs of Arnis and DTS.

Also on that day members and the new officers were recognized and took oath before Governor Jeorge “ER” Ejercito Estregan durning the PSGDO hosted flag raising ceremony.

The activity was part of the Gov ER Batang Laguna Program aim to produce world class athletes and to make Laguna become the country's next sport capital

DTS Trains ABS-CBN River Warriors

Grandmaster Jerson Tortal Jr. trains ABS-CBN' river warriors in the their family martial arts "Dekiti Tirsia Siradas" to fight the enemies of ecology particular freshwater rivers.

Upper Limits Gym is now the newest training center for Dekiti Tirsia Siradas. It is located at3rd Flr, Aqua ALTRIA Bldg (Near Nagcarlan Bank) 1068 Brgy. Antonio National Highway, Los Baños, Laguna. DTS Grandmaster featured in TV Patrol

Grandmaster Jerson "Nene" Tortal was featured in the  Philippine local tv news. The report was broadcast in Illongo, the native dialect of GM Tortal.

New Year Special: Hot Filipina Fire Dancers

In celebration of the New Year, we kick off 2011 with a video of awesome Filipina Fire Dancers. I got this footage when I attend the New Year Party of TRACE College.
